Soooo, I got to do a photo gig over the weekend, which was a nice change of pace, shooting part of an event in Crystal City that will be going on every day through the 28th of this month-- all fashion related events.
This week's discovery: models are very tall. No, whatever you are thinking, they are taller than that.
They are, like, preternaturally tall. P is 6'2", so I am used to tall. I am short, but I live with tall. Most of the women strutting on the runway were taller than P, and all had on serious heels to boot.
They were long and thin in ways that made me doubt that we could possibly share DNA. As someone pointed out-- the clothes sure do hang on them nicely, though.
There was a DJ spinning tunes....
And fire dancers to entertain.....
AND CUPCAKES. Not just cupcakes, FREE cupcakes, which is my favorite cupcake flavor. :)
